The Pine Tree High School UIL Academics team claimed the District 16-4A Championship for the second year in a row, earning more points than all of the other competitors gained when added all together. The UIL Academics contest has 23 events, counting the One-Act Play. Some events are team events while others are individual events. Of the 12 team events, Pine Tree won ten and placed second in the other two. Forty-one competitors qualified for the regional competition on April 25th. First – third place individuals and first place teams qualify for the regional meet. Fourth place students are alternates. In addition, the team garnered the following district honors:
