Pine Tree High School celebrated a major step forward in student opportunity with the ribbon-cutting of a new Career and Technical Education (CTE) building located next to campus.
The new facility will give PTHS students expanded access to hands-on training in automotive technology, carpentry and welding. By moving these programs into a dedicated space, the school will also be able to free up room on campus to support additional career-focused programs as enrollment and interest continue to grow.
School and district leaders said the CTE building is designed to prepare students for life beyond graduation by connecting classroom learning with real-world skills. The goal is for Pine Tree students to graduate ready to enter the workforce and contribute to the East Texas community.
Construction of the facility took nearly three years and represents Phase One of a $55 million district initiative. Administrators say the investment reflects Pine Tree High School’s commitment to equipping students with practical skills, professional training and pathways to meaningful careers.
